Bio
Tetiana Kornieieva (b. 1993 in Kyiv) is a multidisciplinary artist working with performance, installation, video, and sound, using archival
materials such as field recordings, ethnographic sources, and texts. Her practice develops a concept of performative architecture and
landscape as a political structure, which reflects dynamic relations between body and space across both natural and constructed environments.
She approaches glass as both a physical substance and a metaphor—situated between digital and analog perception. As an architectural
element, it transmits and reflects light while remaining structurally fragile and sensitive to external forces and vibrations. Kornieieva is
interested in how these material conditions shape transformation over time and contribute to cultural memory. In her work, she draws a
parallel between the vulnerability of materials such as textile, burnt wood, and glass, and the fragility of the human body, both internal and
external.
Through the combination of costume, light, sound, sculpture, and interactive objects, she creates installation-like environments in which the
body appears as both a spatial construct and a trace of presence and absence. Kornieieva often references the visual language of Ukrainian
monumental art tradition, examining how ideological narratives and bodily perception shift within constructed environments.
