The performance, dedicated to the theme of sleep, explores what dreams are like during wartime and how attitudes
toward sleep change in the face of catastrophe. It examines how dreams become a space where reality and fantasy
intertwine, often filled with fear, anxiety, and threat. Sleep serves as a metaphorical tool to delve into the subconscious
and explore the blurred boundaries between the real and the unreal.

In her performance, Tetiana constructs an intimate space that blurs the line between the idyllic and the nightmarish.
Within the artistic narrative, the deliberate utilization of traditional Ukrainian lullabies resonates as a poignant means
to evoke an illusory semblance of tranquility.

“During the performance, I choreograph a slow sequence informed by an investigation into my movements during sleep. Over a three-month period, I recorded a video while sleeping, capturing the nuances of these nocturnal motions.
Traditional lullabies provide a melodic backdrop to the performance. Access to the room is restricted to one person while I am performing. Post-performance, the scenography and music persist, and the audience is invited to enter the space. Instructions guide them on how to engage with the environment—by reclining on the floor and endeavoring to simulate a state of sleep.”
